There is no replacement for displacement, and torque is still the king! With 550 ft/lbs of torque, the 502 HO crate motor from GM Performance Parts will launch even the heaviest of steel bodied muscle cars harder than you ever thought possible. The 502 H0 is complete from intake to oil pan and includes a long style cast iron water pump, 14" flexplate, and a harmonic balancer. Bolt-on pieces that you will need and that we recommend are: 850 cfm carburetor, a quality HEI ignition system, and a good free flowing exhaust system. Note; the GM oil pan will not clear the Camaro or Chevelle chassis, SDPC offers several different oil pan kits to fit your particular application. A different oil pan can be installed at our facility prior to shipping for a small additional charge.
