Warranty

Most of the products offered for sale on this web site are backed by a standard manufacturers warranty, which typically covers the product for 90 days from the date of purchase (unless otherwise stated). Please check the warranty information (usually included with the product / instructions) to verify the terms of each company concerning defective parts. Most manufacturers require that the defective product be returned directly to their facility. If you have any questions concerning a defective product, please contact our the Chev Centre and they will provide you with the necessary information to process your warranty (when applicable).

GM Performance Parts crate engines and short blocks carry a 12 month limited parts only warranty. Parts are warranted against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty specifically excludes engines and short blocks used in racing, any competition, or marine use, and parts that fail as a result of alteration. Should any part prove to be defective, that part and only that part may be warranted at the discretion of General Motors. The buyer assumes full responsibility for the entire cost of repair, service, damage and/or loss to property. Unless specified by GM, these engines should only be used in 1973 and earlier pre-emissions vehicles. It is the buyers responsibility to check for any state and Federal laws concerning engine replacement, modification, and emissions regulations.

GM Warranty

The following warranty information is stated by the manufacturer. Some individual products have seperate warranty specifications. Please refer to the product description for any possible specific warranty details.

Performance Parts
Due to the nature and intended use of GM Performance Parts, the parts are sold without any expressed or implied warranty. If a GM Performance Part proves to be defective following the purchase, the purchaser must contact the selling authorized GM Performance Parts dealer to resolve the issue.

Engine and Partial Engine Warranty
General Motors Performance Parts warrants to the original retail purchaser for the time of 12 months from the date of purchase and/or 12,000 miles, that it will repair or replace, at its option, using new or remanufactured parts, any GM Performance Parts engine or partial engine, including partial engines in kits, that fail due to defect in material or workmanship. Coverage is for the cost of the parts only, labor cost not covered.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

• Damage due to improper installation, negligence, alteration, accident, or use for which the unit was not designed or approved by General Motors, including, but not limited to, improper use, or any use other than a vehicle it was designed for, or any use related to racing or competition. Proper vehicle use is discussed in the vehicle Owner’s Manual. In addition, coverage does not apply if the odometer has been disconnected or the mileage reading has been altered.
• Damage caused by lack of proper maintenance as described in the vehicle’s
  original Owner’s Manual/Maintenance Schedule, failure to follow Maintenance
  Schedule intervals, or failure to use or maintain proper type and levels
  of fluid, fuel, oil, and lubricants recommended in the Owner’s anual/Maintenance Schedule. Proof of proper maintenance is the owner’s responsibility.
  Keep all receipts and be prepared to make them available if questions arise about maintenance.
  
• Damage as a result of overheating, contamination or lack of lubrication.
  
• Loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use, or other economic loss.
  
• Vehicles registered and normally operated outside of the United States.
  
• This warranty does not apply to any unit installed under the General Motors
  New-Vehicle Warranty.
  

Returns Policy

Your complete satisfaction is our priority, if an item purchased from the Chev Centre does not meet your expectations, return it within 90 days for a refund or exchange.

If you are not completely satisfied with the product or products that you have purchased, you may return the new / unused parts within 90 days from the invoice date. You must include the original invoice with the return. The product must be in the original box and must be sent freight prepaid. All returns can be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

NO refunds will be issued without the original invoice.

Chev Centre will not accept any returns on special ordered parts, custom machined parts, or engine rebuild kits. Any electronic or electrical parts that have been opened are not eligible for return.
